Gold Mine Farm has been in the miniature donkey and llama business since
1984.  We named our farm after a cart that we purchased at a deserted gold
mine in Colorado, and we think that was a great choice as it has certainly been
a gold mine to us; we enjoy our animals every day. 

We now maintain a herd of 40 to 50 donkeys on our 'little gold mine.'   We breed our donkeys for excellent conformation and a mature height of 29 - 32 inches. 
We have bloodlines of MGF Homer, Black Russian, The Fireman, Sunset Acres Gracie,
DK Jack Daniels and Magnum.  Our current herd consists of grays, spots, blacks, reds and the rare blue-eyed white donkeys.   In the near future, we are planning to develop a herd of 20 -25 Ivory BEWs.
